National Honor Society
NHS was founded in 1921, creating an organization that recognizes and encourages academic achievement while developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. These ideals of scholarship, character, service, and leadership remain as relevant today as they were in 1921.
Senior, junior, and sophomore students are accepted into the NHS who have a 3.75 GPA over 3 semesters as an academic requirement. Leadership, character, and service are other foundations of membership. New members are inducted into the NHS each spring.
